Fuel monitoring and Telematics

At a Glance

SDSD's Fuel Monitoring & Vessel Telematics System captures real-time engine telemetry, fuel flow meter data, GPS position, and shaft power metrics. It provides automated fuel consumption analytics, speed-fuel optimization, and emissions reporting.

Remote machinery and fuel monitoring for Tanker, Bulk and Offshore Vessels

SDSD’s telematics solutions measure and analyze the operating parameters of engines, generators, boilers, and other vessel equipment. These solutions are used on all types of vessels, including tanker, bulk carriers etc. A key component is the fuel consumption control system, which enables shipowners and operators to significantly reduce fuel consumption, improve operational processes and safety, enhance vessel maintenance quality, and increase the accuracy of CO2 emissions calculations. Monitoring of parameters can be conducted both on the vessel and remotely. Data is provided in convenient graphs or tables via the telematics service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does SDSD Fuel Monitoring & Telematics collect vessel engine data?

The system connects directly to vessel mass flow meters, engine sensors, GPS, and torque meters to log real-time fuel consumption and shaft power metrics.

Can the system detect fuel theft, bunkering anomalies, and meter inaccuracies?

Yes. Automated anomaly detection algorithms analyze bunkering rates and fuel density to flag unrecorded fuel transfers or flow meter errors instantly.

How does telematics data support EU MRV and IMO DCS emissions reporting?

High-frequency telemetry data automatically populates EU MRV and IMO Data Collection System (DCS) annual fuel and CO2 emissions reports.

Does the software recommend optimal vessel speed and engine load profiles?

Yes. It analyzes hull performance and sea conditions to advise master and shore superintendents on eco-speed settings for maximum fuel savings.
